CASE STUDY
Abjuration Brew Co. Rebrand
Abjuration Brew Co. is a start up brewery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The brewery is all about using local ingredients and having open source recipes. The logo needed to include elements that hinted at the brewery's experimental brewing approach and Pittsburgh's roots.
The font is a manipulated version of Vast Shadow. Necessary brand elements included are the beaker and benzene symbol as a nod to their chemistry and experimental roots. A gear is also included as a reminder of Pittsburgh’s industrial past. The final iteration was changed to one color for ease of use in branding.
This project was displayed in AIGA’s 2018 PGH365 show.
